The Southern European Entrepreneurship Engine (S3E) project, supported by the European Commission under the EIE Program, provides various support mechanisms to stakeholders in the deep technology ecosystem in the South European countries where it operates.
The supports created by the S3E Program to meet the needs of different stakeholders in the deep technology innovation ecosystem are as follows:
- S3E Start: Assists research teams and technology transfer offices in exploring the commercial viability of deep technology projects.
- S3E Charge: Supports deep technology start-ups that aim to improve their business model and learn how to access different types of funding for scaling.
- S3E Reverse: Connects corporate challenges with solutions developed by SMEs through a successful open innovation methodology.
In this context, the mentioned supports are open for applications from deep technology innovation stakeholders in the following countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, and Spain; Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, and Türkiye.
The deadline for applications for S3E Charge (start-ups) and S3E Reverse (large organizations acting as 'Challengers') is December 15, 2023. For S3E Start (research teams and technology transfer officers), the deadline for applications is January 12, 2024.
